Much of this series started when I wanted to paint clouds. I found myself in need of grounding while painting, so I added the roadways. This is the Skyways and Byways series.

Next I painted a series I call the Washed Linen series, as the work looks much like a well worn linen. So much of Summer Maine weather is cloaked in fog I feel it a shame not to include the mysterious phenomenon as a typical Maine landscape. I want one to hear the ubiquitous foghorn in their mind, rather than see the stalwart sentry in the painting.
